Our Heritage
In the late 1950's, our grandmother, Maria Martinez, perfected the recipe learned from traditional cooking skills she learned growing up in her native Nuevo Leon Mexico and began selling them from a small stand in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Later, in the 1970's, the family business moved to the Los Hermanos Restaurant in San Antonio Texas. That restaurant in turn was sold to an uncle in the 1990's but the Martinez family continues to hand-make all natural tamales from the finest ingredients, still using Grandmother Maria's recipe. Now based in a state of the art commercial kitchen facility just north of Waco, Texas we hope you enjoy our tamales as much as we do and invite you to use our online ordering feature on this website.
